Dinner Theatre - December 10-11, 2009

The club's first Dinner Theatre fundraiser was produced in partnership with the Columbia Entertainment Company and the Tiger Hotel and ran for two nights, December 10 and 11, 2009. Food was provided by the Bleu Restaurant and ticket processing was handled by The Bank of Missouri. Total attendance topped 230 to hear the rousing presentation of “Holiday Bound,” a celebration of the Christmas season in story and song. Mary Paulsell created and directed the program, and provided narration along with one of Columbia’s best-known voices, Rod Gelatt. The tight harmony and outstanding solo and ensemble voices of the CEC brought the crowd to its feet. The event raised nearly $1,500 for our local charities (Central Missouri Food Bank, Voluntary Action Center, Boy and Girl Scouts, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, PET Project, and Central Missouri Humane Society) – and raised holiday spirits, as well! Below are photos of some of those who attended, as well as a photo of the performers.
