Rotary Fun Day - Sunday, August 23, 2009

For the second year in a row, on Sunday, August 23, 2009, a number of club members enjoyed a Rotary Fun Day social event at Brenda Woods' home on Lake Champetra in southern Boone County. Approximately 65 club members, spouses, children, dates and friends attended and brought pot-luck dishes. Club Secretary Steve Scott prepared baby back ribs, past Club President Tony St. Romaine prepared pulled pork, and Brenda's husband John McGraw prepared beef brisket. Attendees began gathering around 2 p.m., and the food was served shortly after 6 p.m. Those attending had an opportunity to tour the lake on a pontoon boat and generally enjoy the beautiful setting and good conversation and fellowship.
