Rotary Fun Day - August 21, 2010

For the third year in a row, on Saturday, August 21, 2010, a number of club members enjoyed a Rotary Fun Day social event at Brenda Woods' home on Lake Champetra in southern Boone County. Approximately 30 club members, spouses, children, dates and friends attended and brought pot-luck dishes. Club Secretary Steve Scott smoked baby back ribs, past Club President Tony St. Romaine grilled hamburgers, and Brenda's husband John McGraw barbecued beef brisket. Attendees began gathering around 2 p.m., and the food was served shortly before 6 p.m. Those attending had an opportunity to tour the lake on a pontoon boat and generally enjoy the beautiful setting and good conversation and fellowship.
